This policy covers the Clinch website and the waitlist form on it, and the Clinch profiles that a card opens. Clinch Cards is operated by Clinch Technologies, based in Mumbai, India.
What we collect
If you join the waitlist, we collect only what you type into that form:
- Your name
- Your WhatsApp number, including the country code
- Your email address, if you give one
- Whether you want the card shipped inside or outside India
- Whether you are interested for yourself, for a team, or are undecided
On this website we use no analytics, no advertising trackers and no cookies, and we do not collect your IP address, location or browsing behaviour. Clinch profiles work differently, and that is set out below.
Why we collect it
To tell you when the first batch of cards is ready, and what the confirmed specifications and prices are. The shipping question tells us how much demand exists outside India so we can arrange a courier route and quote you the right rate rather than the wrong one.
We will not send you unrelated marketing, and we will not sell, rent or share your details with anyone for their own marketing.
Who can see it
Submissions are stored with the form provider we use to run the waitlist, and are readable by the Clinch team. We use WhatsApp and email to contact you, which means your number or address passes through those providers in the ordinary way. Nobody else receives your data.
Clinch profiles, and what a card records
A Clinch card opens a profile page. When it does, we record the time, the country the request came from, whether the phone was an iPhone or an Android, and how the page was reached. We set one cookie on your phone containing a random string — nothing about you and nothing about your device — so that a second read of the same card moments later is not counted twice, and so that if you then choose to leave your details, the card owner sees that the two belong together rather than as two unrelated entries.
We do not record your precise location, we do not build a device fingerprint, and we set no third-party or advertising cookies. The country is the finest detail we hold. The cookie expires after 30 days and clearing your browser data removes it; nothing breaks if you do.
If you fill in the “share your details” form on somebody’s profile, what you type goes to that person. They are the ones who decide what to do with it, in the same way as if you had handed them a card. We store it so they can see it and hold it on their behalf.
A profile page is not listed on Google unless its owner has switched that on. The default is off.
How long we keep it
Until the first batch ships and we have contacted you, and for up to 12 months after that in case you order. If you ask us to delete it sooner, we do it and we do not keep a copy.
Your rights
Under India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023, you can ask us to show you the data we hold about you, correct it if it is wrong, or delete it. You can also withdraw your consent at any time, which removes you from the list. There is no charge and you do not need to give a reason.

Children
This site is not intended for anyone under 18, and we do not knowingly collect their data.
Changes
If this policy changes we will update this page and the date at the top. If the change is significant and we hold your details, we will tell you directly.
